Mozzie is a 1½-year-old, 14-pound Shih Tzu-Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a shy but curious spirit. He came to Camo Rescue as an owner surrender alongside his sister, Luna Nicole—and these two are a bonded pair who will need to be adopted together.
This is a very smart boy and needs a lot of love and always looks at you for reassurance(especially when walking). He loves a ‘support’ toy and carry it with him after waking up in the morning. Scared of load noises and cars/machines/lawnmowers/vacuum.
He is very good on a leash and love a short walk. He does get hot a lot faster than Luna and is NOT an outside dog. The Terrier in him is always sniffing and looking for something that moves and he gets a good fright if it does.
He is a little concerned of weather, but not as much as machines. Letting him know you are there and it’s okey, boosts his confidence a lot.
Mozzie's potty training is very good, once he figures out where and when. He will also tell you if he needs to go or needs something(high pitch bark), once he gets to know you.
He picks up on your tone of voice very quickly and gets nervous when you’re angry with him. This boy is an absolute love bug and just wants to be loved. He’s still a very young boy and needs space and play time.
His favorite time of day is when he gets his Woof toy filled with a treat and laying with you on the coach watching tv. He is also getting good at fetching the ball too.
Work from home family with older kids might be good for him and Luna as they both are still very young, they might benefit from an older wiser dog to show them the ropes.
Both Mozzie and Luna needs patient, calm, soft loving owners that can give them the forever home they so deserve for the next 14+years of their life.
Adoption fee is: $375
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
