My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charlie Chance – The Sweet Survivor 🐾

This little estimated 8yr, 12 lb. Shih Tzu mix has been through so much, but you’d never know it by the love in his eyes. Once starved and left neglected in back yard, Charlie Chance has proven to be a true survivor with a heart full of gratitude.

✨ Always Hungry, Always Loving: Food is one of his greatest joys (understandably so after his rough start), but what he craves most is love and companionship.

🐶 Shadow Companion: Wherever you go, Charlie will be right there by your side—your loyal little shadow who just wants to be close. Since being rescued he loves to sleep with his foster parents and has learned to cuddle.

🐕 Dog-Friendly: Gentle and social, Charlie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would do well in a home with furry friends but will do fine as a only dog.

🦴 Simple Joys: He’s learned to enjoy chewing on bully sticks, and every once in a while, he surprises everyone with his “old man zoomies”—silly bursts of playful energy that melt hearts.

Charlie came to us in the worst condition! He was matted to the skin and severely underweight. After great vet care and good food he's doubled his weight and is ready for his furever home. Charlie is good with other dogs, very sweet and as cute as a button!

He is neutered, up to date on shots, hw negative and microchipped.

Adoption fee is: $375

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
