Bernard (aka Nardo aka Bernie) this lovable, handsome, meat missile is the hardcore love you never imagine you needed but you just can’t get enough! Want a cat you can pick up, carry around, roll over and pet his belly, put him in your lap and he’ll chill with you for hours all while making air biscuits and staring longingly into your eyes? This is the dude. The name of the game is hardcore: hardcore loving, hardcore playing, hardcore mischief making, hardcore catting. He jumps on your shoulder when you walk by, he purrs so loud you think the house might fall down, he carries around his toy while growling like someone actually wants to steal that nasty mouse toy covered in spit from him….he then throws it in the water bowl for good measure to make sure absolutely no one wants it….cool Bernard, cool.

Please see our website: www.catscradleva.org for a copy of our adoption application and adoption contract. Adoption fees vary, but generally run around $135.
All our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, and fully vetted. We have an adoption center in Harrisonburg, but we also make extensive use of foster homes until adoption.
We generally prefer indoor only homes, and our contract specifies that the cat(s) will not be de-clawed.
We have some cats that cannot be adopted into an indoor situation. For these, we seek safe barn or out-building locations.

More about this rescue
Founded in 1998, Cat’s Cradle seeks to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable cats and dogs in Shenandoah Valley through aggressive spay/neuter of owned animals and TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral cats.
We also have a network of foster parents and an active adoption program for cats. In 2009 we opened an adoption center in Harrisonburg. We do not euthanize for space.
Please visit our website at: www.catscradleva.org for more information.
