Meet Monty – Not Quite the Full Monty, But Fully Full of Love
Monty is a stunning 2-year-old mix of golden retriever, shepherd, and collie with soulful yellow-golden eyes that will melt your heart. He’s the kind of dog who gazes at you like you hung the moon—loyal, gentle, and just so grateful to be safe.
Monty came from a heartbreaking situation. He arrived at just 22 pounds, severely underweight and neglected. After two weeks in doggy ICU, Monty got the medical care and love he desperately needed—and it shows. Now up to about 40 pounds, he’s regaining his strength and spirit every day, and he hasn’t let his past dim his joy.
This boy lives to be by your side. He’ll quietly sit next to you, resting his head near your leg, just happy to be close. Monty is crate trained, nearly fully house trained, and incredibly affectionate. He gets along with other dogs, and while he finds cats fascinating and wants to play, not all cats appreciate his enthusiasm—so a cat-savvy home or no cats might be best.
