Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Odie – our tiny survivor with a heart full of joy! 🐾
Odie’s life didn’t start the way any puppy’s should. She came from one of the worst puppy mills we’ve ever seen—filthy, overcrowded, and dangerously neglectful. At just 8 weeks old, this sweet girl was covered in ticks, each one a threat to her fragile little body. If left untreated, they would’ve invited their whole family and, tragically, could have taken her life. We were even told she was a boy (hence the name “Odie”)—but once she was safe, clean, and snuggled in foster care, we discovered this tough cookie is all girl!
But don’t let her rough start fool you—Odie is pure sunshine in a tiny, wiggly body. She’s spunky, playful, and loving every second of her new life! She chases the other foster dogs around the yard, pounces on her favorite toys, and has started learning manners through Puppy Culture training. Odie is looking for a forever family with a playmate (either two-legged or four!) and someone who will spoil her rotten, because after all she’s been through, she deserves nothing less.
Her beginning is a reminder of why puppy mills must end—they’re not just “breeders,” they’re businesses that put profit over puppies, often leaving innocent lives like Odie’s at serious risk. Every adoption from a rescue is a stand against that cruelty.
✅ Odie is current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention
🩺 Tick-borne disease tests came back negative, but she should be retested in 6–12 months as these infections can take time to show up
🚫 She is not yet spayed—Leia’s Hope requires spay at 6 months and provides $200 toward the procedure with proof
