Butternut is a stunning orange female cat — a rare gem with a beautiful, warm coat to match her unique personality.

Butternut is a curious explorer at heart. She loves to roam around and investigate every nook and cranny, and she absolutely lives for her playtime with springs — she’ll bat them around and then zoom off in a flash! When she’s not running her speedy laps, you can find her lounging in the catio, enjoying the fresh air, and hanging out with the resident cat. She sometimes gives a little swat to remind them she likes her space, but her fosters are helping her learn polite kitty manners.

When it comes to affection, Butternut likes things on her terms. She enjoys being held and petted when she’s in the mood, and she appreciates a patient human who can respect her independence.
