My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Note - Clover is currently in the Bay Area (Oakland), even though our rescue is based in Los Angeles. We can arrange local introduction and placement.

Since my last so-called family dumped me on Christmas Eve 2022, I have been getting myself some extra help to make myself more desirable for humans. Let me tell you, it was not easy since I can be a little anxious and stubborn at the same time, but I am a good and willing student who also likes to please. So, here's the new me: I know my commands. I love going for walks. I love working out on the treadmill or running along with your bike. I enjoy getting to know other dogs but prefer a slow introduction. I can stay in my crate when you need to leave for errands but I'm not gonna lie — I'm still happiest when I can be right next to you. After all, we dogs are made to be man's or woman's best friend, and that is definitely who I want to be for you.

If you are interested in meeting Clover, please email us or download the Adoption Questionnaire and email it back to info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are carefully screened through our adoption process:

- If you're interested in an animal, we'll ask that you fill out a questionnaire, which we will review to ensure you and the dog you are interested in adopting are a good match.

- You will be asked to submit to a "home safety check" to determine the level of safety and adequacy of the area for the dog.

- An adoption fee is required and you must sign the adoption agreement, which ensures that if, for any reason, you are unable to keep the dog, he/she to be returned to Forte Animal Rescue only.

- Finally, we personally deliver your new family member to your home.

- Any additional donation would be greatly appreciated, and this portion will be tax-deductible. The donation goes to pay for all of the other animals in our care, many of which come to us with injuries or medical conditions that require treatment. Forte Animal Rescue survives solely on donations and it is for this reason that the adoption fee is nonnegotiable.

- Forte Animal Rescue reserves the right to cancel the adoption process at any time if the home situation or adoptive family has been misrepresented, if certain information was withheld, or if the dog is determined to be a better match with another family.
