Canelo is a 6-year-old, 61 lb sweetheart who defines what it means to be a true gentleman. When his former family tried to abandon him and his sister in the streets after the shelter turned them away for being full, a rescue stepped in—giving him the second chance he so deeply deserves.
About Canelo:
Male, 6 years old
70 lbs of shepherd/mix loyalty
Vaccinated (not neutered yet)
Not good with dogs. Needs to be the only dog in the home.
Great with kids and people
Medium energy—calm with playful bursts
Located in Illinois
Leash trained, knows his commands
Canelo may be a bit older, but don’t let his age fool you; he’s still got pep in his step, especially when kids are around to keep him on his toes! He grew up around children and would thrive in a home filled with love, laughter, and play.
This gentle guy walks beautifully on leash, listens well (especially if treats are involved!), and enjoys a good stroll just as much as he enjoys curling up beside you.
