My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Top Dog, Looking for His Forever Crew

A young man adopted Huncho with the best of intentions, but due to a demanding college schedule, he’s struggling to provide the time and attention a young, active dog needs. He hired a company to transport Huncho from Texas to Georgia because he genuinely wanted to keep him in the family, but he’s now come to the difficult realization that rehoming may be in Huncho’s best interest.

About Huncho:

Approximately 2 years old

Neutered

Up to date on vaccinations

Friendly, affectionate, and eager to please

Non-aggressive (even when other dogs bark at him)

Energetic and playful—would thrive as a house companion with a fenced yard.  Best suited for a home with older children due to his size and enthusiasm. Still working on some manners (like jumping), but very responsive to attention and love. Huncho is currently located in Kathleen, GA.

 Huncho leads the cuddle revolution.

Huncho isn’t just a dog — he’s a vibe, a leader, and your next best friend.

To Do All We Can to Aid in the Rescue, Safety and Welfare of Stray and Abandoned Animals to end as much suffering as possible.

We realize we cannot save the world … but we can try by working with each rescued animal on an individual basis.

Go meet their pets

Because we are not a shelter, do not have a boarding facility, and are not connected with any other agency, we always welcome foster homes where animals can stay temporarily. We also welcome all tax-deductible donations from individuals or foundations.
No donation is too small.

More about this rescue

A Welcome Home Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created to help the homeless, hurt and/or abandoned animals. Our end goal is to place each animal in a permanent, loving home where all their needs will be met. We believe every animal deserves humane treatment. We believe in our role as caretakers, protecting those who cannot defend themselves, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
