My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI - I'M KING! I'm a sweet, sweet, sweet large 8-year-old Pit Bull Terrier in need of a foster or forever home. I weigh 85 pounds and there's a lot of me to love! I was rescued from a scary Los Angeles-area shelter, where I had been surrendered by my owners with a smaller and sweet American Eskimo, who got adopted. I'm an older gentleman with a few lumps and bumps and a sweet disposition. (One larger lump in particular we had examined by a vet but she told us if removed, it may just grow back.) Otherwise, I'm in great health and I need a final retirement home where I will be loved, cherished and given good food & treats. I love toys, love bully sticks and still love to play! I also love to give kisses and snuggle -- and I think I'm a lap dog! I have also been good around other dogs. Can you foster or adopt me? I will reward you 100-fold! Please email for an application.

Additional adoption info

We work hard to match animals with people, and have a high success rate doing so. We want our dogs, cats and adopters to be happy!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Southern California, but we adopt dogs to people in states across the country. In 2024, we adopted almost 200 animals to people in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Texas and New York. Most of the animals we save come from high-kill shelters in California, but we also take in owner surrenders.
