HI - I'M SMILEY! I certainly live up to my name because I love to smile (just not always for the camera)! I'm a 4-1/2-year-old happy, handsome and stocky male Pit Bull Terrier. I'm all muscle! I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, after I had been there for 5 whole months! During that time, I had multiple kennel mates. At the shelter, I had regular play dates with other pups, and was even kenneled with a couple of huskies. Since exiting the shelter, though, we've determined I may be best as an only dog or maybe with a submissive female. I weigh about 50 lbs currently. Can you foster or adopt me? We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization based in Southern California, but we adopt dogs to people in states across the country. In 2024, we adopted almost 200 animals to people in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Texas and New York. Most of the animals we save come from high-kill shelters in California, but we also take in owner surrenders.
