My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mildred is a sweet, soft-hearted tan puppy who lives for naps, snuggles, and quiet companionship. She’s been raised around both dogs and cats and enjoys their company, but she definitely prefers a little personal space and calm. Mildred is currently on hard food with a splash of water and is doing great with her potty training.

While she can be a bit shy with new sounds and people at first, Mildred warms up with gentle patience and will soon be in your lap asking for cuddles. Her favorite things include cozy blankets, a trusted human, and a good crinkle toy to keep her entertained during her playful spurts. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate pup who’s all about comfort and calm, Mildred is ready to curl up by your side.

Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
