My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy is a beautiful blonde lab with some tan spotting. Her estimated DOB is 7/20/2023 and on 7/17/2025 she weighed in at 54 pounds. She finds herself here at our shelter because she kept jumping the fence and getting out, so she will need a home with a securely fenced yard where she can play and be safe. Her previous owners tell us that she is good with kids, other dogs, and hasn't been exposed to cats. They also tell us that she knows sit, stay, down and off. We know for sure that she is sweet, loves to be petted and loves people! Come meet sweet Daisy today and give her the loving home and secure fence that she deserves!

Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
