Tabitha is absolutely the sweetest lab mix whose estimated DOB is 6/1/2024 and on 7/16/2025 she weighed 48 pounds. Tabitha had had 2 toes on her back right foot amputated when she came to us and ultimately had to have the whole leg amputated. There is also an old fracture on her pelvis. Through it all, she has remained super friendly and playful! Tabitha hasn't missed a beat, as you can see in these photos! She still loves zoomies and balls and affection from humans. She is friendly with other dogs, and we always recommend bringing your dog(s) for a dog-meet before adopting a new family member. Please come meet sweet Tabitha today and see how wonderful she is and give her the love and care that she so richly deserves.
Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

More about this shelter
The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.
The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.
The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
