My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wrigley — the overachiever of the dog world who somehow manages to be both playful and calm. That’s right, folks. He’s the mythical “balanced dog” your trainer promised but your last three dogs laughed at.

Need a hiking buddy and a couch potato? Wrigley’s your guy. He’ll chase a ball like it insulted his mother, then flop down beside you like he’s auditioning for a mattress commercial. His energy level? Somewhere between “ready for adventure” and “let’s not get crazy.” Basically, Wrigley’s the dog who read the manual on how to be the perfect pet… and actually followed it.

Wrigley is a 3-month-old, 18lb Great Pyrenees mix who somehow managed to end up homeless—probably because the world just wasn’t ready for all this adorable. With his fluffy charm and easygoing personality, it’s honestly shocking he didn’t get scooped up by a talent agent on the spot. Wrigley’s the kind of pup who makes you wonder why all puppies can’t be this easy. If you’re looking for a fluff, with a little scruff, with a lot of heart, he’s your guy.

Wrigley is the kind of dog who strolls into a room full of dogs and somehow gets invited to every playgroup without even trying. He plays nicely, doesn’t start drama, and can have just as much fun with a squeaky toy as he can with a pack of four-legged friends—or, you know, a paper sack, because apparently he's easily impressed. Cats? No official opinion yet, but knowing Wrigley, he'd probably just blink at them, wag his tail once, and carry on with his day like a gentleman who simply doesn't have time for interspecies politics. Kids? Wrigley hasn’t had the pleasure, but based on his easygoing nature and general "cool older cousin" energy, we imagine he’d take them in stride—especially if they come bearing snacks or toys that crinkle. New people are no big deal to this guy. He greeted his foster’s daughter like a long-lost friend and joined the backyard crew like he’s lived there forever. No awkward introductions or dramatic monologues—just a very good boy being his very good self.

Wrigley has the kind of energy you’d expect from a 3-month-old pup—enough to keep things interesting, but not so much that you’re Googling “puppy yoga retreats” to survive the day. He plays, he explores, he occasionally makes questionable life choices, and then he crashes like a toddler who partied too hard at daycare. He’s had a few car rides (two of them to the vet—so, you know, five stars) and handled them like a seasoned traveler. No dramatic meltdowns, no attempts to drive—just a polite passenger who probably assumed he was on a Very Important Mission. As for leash walking? That’s still in the “what even is this contraption” phase. He hasn’t been formally introduced to the concept yet, but we’re optimistic. Or delusional. Hard to say. Wrigley is currently enjoying the finer things in life—mainly playing in the yard, the shade, and following around his giant dog friend Chewbacca like he’s on some noble quest. He’s not throwing himself at the door begging to go clubbing downtown, but he’s also not going full gremlin from boredom indoors. Let’s call him an introverted explorer with selective motivation. Temperament-wise, he’s a little shy at first and definitely has opinions about bedtime. (Spoiler: he disagrees.) Fireworks got his attention, but he took his cues from the big dogs and handled it like a champ. He may be small, but he’s already showing signs of being a thoughtful little dude—unless, of course, he’s been denied his favorite toy, in which case, prepare for a strongly worded squeak. His favorite activities include yard patrol with his 97-lb bestie and inspecting the fountain like he’s deciding whether or not to be a water dog. So far, the verdict is “maybe, but only on his terms.” Would he prefer a yard? Yes. Is it because he enjoys the fresh air and freedom to explore? Also yes. Is it because he thinks leash walks are a scam invented by humans? That’s a theory we’re exploring.

Let’s be real—Wrigley is adorable, sweet, and fluffy, but he did not come pre-installed with all the software updates. If you're looking for a dog who’s already potty trained, leash perfect, and ready to give TED Talks on social etiquette... keep scrolling, because Wrigley is not that guy. Yet. He’s a baby. A literal three-month-old potato with legs. Socialization? That’s still on the to-do list. He’s young, moldable, and full of potential—but only if you’re actually committed to helping him grow into the fantastic dog he’s meant to be. If you’re not ready for the puddles, the “nope, I’m not walking today” flops, and the awkward “is that a dog or a trash can?” social encounters, then Wrigley is not your match. But if you're up for the challenge, willing to laugh through the messes, and understand that great dogs are made not magically delivered, then buckle up—because Wrigley’s going to be one heck of a sidekick.

If you’ve made it this far and are still thinking, “Yep, I want that fluffy little gremlin in my life,” then congratulations—you might be the chosen one. But before you start planning matching outfits and joint Instagram accounts, you’ll need to fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app . And fair warning: Wrigley isn’t teleporting to you. If you want to bask in the glory of his puppy-ness, you’ll need to make your way to Tulsa, OK to pick him up in person. No private jets, no doggy Uber. Just you and the willingness to fall in love with a dog who has opinions about bedtime and probably thinks your shoelaces are edible.
