Delilah is a very affectionate pup! She loves to go on walks, play in the baby pool, get head scratches, and wrestle with her friend Sampson. Delilah is looking for a home without cats. She weighs about 45 lbs and is almost 2.5 years old. She is up to date on her shots, spayed, and microchipped. Let us know if you would like to meet her!

The animals in our care urgently need a permanent home where someone can provide individual loving care and attention. Please consider adopting your family pet from the Humane Society of McCormick County. We require that you sign an adoption agreement wherein you commit to take proper care of the pet. The adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $65 for cats. Every animal has been given all appropriate vaccinations. Every animal that is old enough has been spayed/neutered.

We hold adoption events at the Petco and PetSmart stores in Aiken and Greenwood on various Saturdays or you can visit our shelter by appointment. Please call 864-391-2349 or email us at info@hsmcsc.org to make an appointment to see our selection of loving and adoptable dogs and cats.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of McCormick County is a private, non-profit, no-kill organization formed in September 2000. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and we operate the only shelter in the county. Our rural county is a very poor county in South Carolina.

McCormick County does not allocate any money for a county or city shelter and we do not have any veterinarians in our county.

We are all our county has for any help with animals.

We approach this problem through our #DoTheMath low cost spay/neuter program. We also provide TNR (trap, neuter or spay, and return) for outside, unowned cats for free throughout the county.
