Meet Chrysanthemum, your blooming best friend. Chrysanthemum may have a fancy name, but she’s as down-to-earth and lovable as they come! This beautiful 2-year-old white Shepherd/Husky mix is the total package — affectionate, friendly, playful, and always ready to roll over for belly rubs. She’s convinced she’s a lap dog (and honestly, who’s going to argue with her?) and will happily soak up all the love and attention you can give.
Chrysanthemum is one of those rare dogs who connects instantly — she greets the world with an open heart and a wagging tail. Whether she’s playfully bouncing around or curling up beside you, her joyful spirit is contagious.
She’s looking for a forever home in the Greater Los Angeles area where she can be part of the family — and maybe sneak in a few extra snuggles on the couch.
If you’re ready for unconditional love wrapped in a gorgeous white coat, Chrysanthemum is waiting to meet you.

We ask you to begin by filling out an adoption application to express your interest in any of our animals. Once we receive the application and looked it over, we will contact you to answer any questions you may have about the pet and set up a meet and greet with the 4 legged friend you are interested in.
At that point, if you are interested in moving forward with the adoption, we will conduct a home check to make sure everything's good. We will ask you to sign an adoption agreement and ask for a donation for the adoption process.
Our adoption process is a couple of steps.

More about this rescue
The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation was founded by Nancy and Katherine Heigl to celebrate the memory of a wonderful son and brother. In 1986, Jason was killed in a car accident. He was only fifteen years old.
Throughout his brief lifetime Jason loved all animals, especially dogs and cats and monkeys. He lived his life extending compassion and kindness to all creatures great and small. This foundation is his legacy.
The mission of the JDHF is to eliminate the needless suffering inflicted on animals by human cruelty, indifference, and ignorance. Our primary focus is the greater Los Angeles area, for now.
In pursuit of our mission, the JDHF routinely funds:
Our internal rescue group, the Heigl Hounds of Hope.
Other qualified rescue groups, via Networking donations.
The Transport of LA shelter dogs to states with great demand.
Free Spay Neuter procedures for the pets of qualified caretakers.
Compassion Education programs.
And we thank you for your support.
