My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Juandissimo, a charming guinea pig looking for a new home along with his bestie, Denzel Crocker (#950954)! These adorable peas in a pod are full of joy, and they show it with their signature move: popcorning! When they're happy, they hop around like little kernels of popcorn, and it's the cutest thing you'll ever see. Social, sweet and full of personality, they love snacks, cozy hideouts and gentle attention. Denzel and Juandissimo will thrive with a large enclosure with plenty of space to roam, lots of hay for munching and cozy spots to relax. They would appreciate a gentle and attentive owner who can provide them with daily interaction and enrichment. If you're looking for a wonderful addition to your family, bring a secure carrier to adopt Denzel and Juandissimo today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
