My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chance is a 3-year-old husky mix rescued from a hoarding situation in Navajo County, where over 50 husky mixes were living on one property. Coming from that environment, he’s learning that he doesn’t have to compete with others for attention or love anymore and that —there’s plenty to go around just for him. Chance is settling into foster life, and is ready to find his forever home!

When Chance first arrived, he was scared and unsure, but he quickly warmed up and became part of the family. True to his husky nature, he’s playful, affectionate, and a bit of an escape artist. Wire and plastic crates have been no match for him in his foster home, but a sturdy impact crate does the trick. He has not shown any destructive behaviors while left out, however the crate has been helpful in managing his separation anxiety. He has medium energy, loves walks, fetch, belly rubs, and cuddling with his humans, and he’s mastered the doggy door like a pro. He can be selective about his canine friends since he wants all the human love for himself—but overall he’s shown great progress as is learning to share space and attention. He’s living with other large dogs now and is doing much better with time and guidance.

Chance would thrive in many types of homes, from active families to quieter households, as long as he gets the companionship and structure he needs. He’s loves to snuggle with his humans at night and would likely do well with respectful kids (7+ just to be safe). Because of his anxiety, a home with another playful dog would be ideal, but with the right family who’s around often, he could do well as an only dog too. Don’t miss your Chance to bring home this loving boy – he’s ready for his forever family!

Additional adoption info

We ensure that our huskies only go to families on a property with a 6ft secure fence, and remain the guardian of the animal for life - if there is ever need for a family to rehome their husky again due to health or any other major concern, we are always willing to take the dog back and find them a new home.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a physical shelter location just yet, and operate solely out of foster homes. We are planning to begin participating in adoption events in the near future - these will be listed on our website once available!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit organization located in the Phoenix valley that specializes in the adoption and placement of Siberian Huskies. We accept owner surrenders and strays, and treat dogs with specialized medical needs, or those that have just become homeless, preparing them for adoption into a permanent home! All dogs are made current on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed and neutered before being placed.
