Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caramel has a very strong opinion about how the world should work. Her world needs structure, peace,some lovingly enforced rules, and lots of being carried like a baby or backpack rides. She doesn’t understand “rushing about” - it makes her nervous and if she doesn’t trust you yet, she will ask you in no uncertain to please cut that out. On the other hand, she will do A. N. Y. thing that I ask her to - nerves or no nerves. If you are willing to take the time to earn this beautiful lady’s trust, I can promise you it will be worth it! She is amazing with four legged kids. The two legged puppies tend to make her nervous and she requires pretty close management. If you are ready to work with her hard core, she is making progress. Otherwise going to recommend a child free home.

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
