A Little Bit About Me

Chula's living her best life in foster - but her life would be even better with a forever family! She loves walks and hikes, cuddly naps, and being close to her favorite people. Right now she's thriving alongside the small human in the household so we think she has the makings of a fantastic family dog.

Meet Chula, a delightful adult dog with a heart full of joy. Initially shy, she reveals her playful and energetic side once she feels secure. Chula loves engaging in a good chase, whether she's the pursuer or the pursued. Her goofy antics are sure to bring smiles and laughter to any home. As she warms up to new environments and people, her charming personality shines through. Adopting Chula means welcoming a loyal companion into your life.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
