A Little Bit About Me

Hi, I'm Lydia, a sweet and loyal German Shepherd with a shy side. I thrive on close bonds with humans, though I'm still learning how to behave indoors and I'm not too keen on other dogs. I love being by your side, and I might need a little patience as I learn the ropes of home life. I promise to be your devoted companion if you give me the chance to love and be loved. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will always be there to brighten your days. ***ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED***

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
