Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Winnie – the perfect little 13-pound companion.
At 11 years old, Winnie is a gentle, happy girl with a heart full of love and a personality that’s easy to fall for. She's a petite mix of several breeds (her DNA once listed chow and chihuahua among them), and while she used to be all black, her soft gray is coming in now and somehow makes her even cuter.
Winnie is great with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. She's good with cats too. She’s polite, housebroken, spayed, and currently finishing up her vet care. Winnie has a calm, steady energy, loves belly rubs, and just wants to be close to her people.
If you’re looking for a sweet older dog who won’t take up much space but will fill your life with love, Winnie might be your girl.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
