My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tony Stark is a cute male Black Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix puppy who was brought to the HSOV on July 2, 2025 after he and his four siblings (Bucky Barnes, Gamora, Natasha, and Yeleva) were found in the New Matamoras Ohio area. Tony Stark was estimated to have been 10-weeks old at that time.

Tony Stark has a sleek black coat with a few small patches of white on his chest, a long tail, and a sweet puppy face with hopeful trusting dark brown eyes, a black button nose, a slender muzzle, and large horizontal ears.

Tony Stark weighed 15.6 lbs on July 3rd.

Note: Tony Stark is wearing a red-and-black collar for identification purposes.

These updated photos were taken on July 27, 2025 when HSOV Volunteer Angel Grosklos accompanied Tony Stark for outdoor 'big boy' pictures. We envisioned Tony sitting regally on a red blanket atop the concrete bench near the front door of the shelter ... ("Dream on Alice" about that idea!) That wasn't Tony's style since he is more of a WalMart Greeter, so he decided we should move the red blanket at the front door entrance where he would get more attention (and 'good boy' treats).

As it turned out, Tony was right about Location, Location, Location (smile) .. The photos were much more natural, and visitors to the shelter stopped by to offer him treats as an added bonus.

Tony jumped on the scales after his photo session and weighed a whopping 29 lbs .. He is the largest of his littermates.

Happy Update!! Tony Stark went home with a foster family at closing time on July 27, 2025 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.

Update 12/19/2025: Tony Stark's foster family decided not to adopt him after all. Tony is still in his foster home but is now available for adoption. If you are interested in fostering-to-adopt Tony Stark please submit an HSOV adoption application for approval so that we may arrange a meet-and-greet with his foster family.
