Twinkle is a sweet, quirky lionhead with a big personality packed into a soft, fluffy frame. A curious explorer who enjoys high places or small spaces. Her preferred hidey spot is sploofing in front of adult sized mirrors.
FUN FACT: She SCANS
"Scanning” is gentle, side-to-side head movement. It's common in rew rabbits and helps them compensate for their unique vision. It’s totally normal and doesn’t stop her from being playful, silly, or curious! Twinkle’s zoomies and binkies may not always be graceful (she occasionally bumps into things & her binkies are sideways.) We find this makes her even more endearing. As far the as we know, she's the only Scanner we have available.
FUN FACT: Ball obsession.
Out of all toys and enrichment Twinkle has in foster, her obsession is with plastic balls. Amazon's Playz Soft Plastic Mini Balls became her favorite so foster mom placed these colorful balls of joy in hidey spots and foraging boxes. Every morning at playtime, she'd discover overnight Twinkle had created her own 'artwork' out of these demolished rainbow balls with an occasional chewed apple stick for good measure. Many pics are available upon request of her craft.

Twinkle preferes her food pellets in puzzles. She loves a good foraging box filled with apple sticks, wooden squares, rolled paper & plastic balls. She hops from box to box discovering new treasures daily.
Twinkle has shown a lot of interest in other rabbits. She would likely make a wonderful bondmate (aka bun wife)! When fostered near male bunnies, she loved camping out by their pens, showing off with zoomies and binkies, and then flopping nearby.

More about this rescue
We are a rescue for HIGH RISK rabbits. Most have been confiscated by animal control or from other life and death situations. Our bunnies were forgotten, neglected, or worse. These bunnies have been through some nightmare situations.
Adoption includes:
* spay or neuter
* RHDV vaccination
* vet and health care given during foster as needed
* good bunny behaviors and socialization addressed during foster
We've saved their lives, nurtered them back to health and help them to trust humans again. They're now ready to find their PERSON. They're ready to experience what BUN LIFE is meant to be, and to show you how much entertainment and love they can give. If you're interested in applying for adoption or becoming a foster, we're here to help you every step of the way.
PLEASE NOTE that due to the volume of rabbits coming in directly from animal control, WR is NOT able to take in owner surrenders. We WILL try our best to help you through whatever issues you are having so that you can keep your rabbit as a beloved companion pet. DO contact us for advice!
