Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Summer & Luke — A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home 🐾
Luke is the explorer of the pair — an independent boy who loves to roam around, chase feather toys, and investigate every nook and cranny. He’s especially food-motivated (just open a can of wet food, and he’ll come running!) and enjoys playtime on his own terms.
Summer, on the other hand, is a shy soul who looks to Luke for comfort and reassurance. She prefers cozy hiding spots under furniture while she gets used to her surroundings but slowly blossoms once she feels safe. With patience and gentle encouragement, her sweet personality starts to shine through.
These sweethearts have had a rough start to life and as a result, Luke continues to have chronic bouts of upper respiratory infections (cat colds). While most of the time his URI will resolve itself, sometimes he needs a boost of treatment. The shelter has set him up for success with stress by sending both kitties home with Imuquin and Viralys, supplements for immune support that should mitigate stressful situations.
They’re not lap cats and prefer to show affection in subtle ways — sharing the room with you, playing nearby, or accepting treats. Because they can be sensitive to noise and handling, their foster recommends an adult-only home or one with older, respectful children. They also prefer not to be picked up, so a home that lets them set the pace will make them happiest. Please consider welcoming these two lovely babies into your home, so they can live out the wonderful lives they deserve!! 🐾
