Meet Tila – Your Loyal Adventure Buddy!
Tila is a gorgeous 5-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality. She’s an independent girl who enjoys doing her own thing but never says no to some love—especially if booty scratches are involved! This smart lady already knows “sit,” is gentle when taking treats, and walks nicely on leash. She may be housetrained since she does her business right away when out of her kennel. Tila also enjoys splashing in the pool, chasing after balls (even if she’s not too interested in bringing them back), and hanging out with other dogs—although we always recommend a meet and greet to make sure it`s the right fit. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-mannered companion who’s equal parts playful and laid-back, Tila is ready to be your new best friend.

All shelter locations are conducting animal viewing and adoptions on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing.
The adoption fee is waived for all available pets in care and in foster homes. Standard adoption practices will still be in place, including background checks.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) expanded the shelter days of service to seven days a week with operational hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and pet viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for both the east and west side shelter locations.
