Toby is officially out of the baby puppy phase and fully into his fun-loving, goofy young adult era — and he is thriving. This handsome cattle dog mix is all about movement, interaction, and joy. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to play, learn, and be part of your everyday life, Toby is your guy.

Toby is the kind of dog who lights up when he has someone to engage with — whether that’s a human tossing toys, a dog friend to romp with, or a training session that lets his smart brain shine. He’s social, affectionate, and always ready for the next adventure (or belly rub).

Loves other dogs and enjoys active play

Does well with kids

Is crate trained and doing well with house training

Is neutered, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on vaccines

Toby is still learning some impulse control — mostly because life is just so exciting — but he’s incredibly eager to please and responds well to structure, routine, and positive reinforcement. He’ll do best in a home that wants to engage with him, not just coexist.

Puppies under 1 year: $350
Adult dogs 1 - 6 years: $300
Adult dogs 7 - 9 years: $250
Senior dogs 10 + years: $100

There is an adoption contract. If you decide the dog is not a fit for your household and the dog is returned to the rescue within 2 weeks of adoption, the adoption fee will be refunded.

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
