Ivory is a stunning 2-year-old, all-white pittie with a heart full of love and a smile that could light up any room. She came to us from Oakland Animal Services after running out of hope — and time. After swallowing a toy in the shelter, Ivory underwent major surgery and made a full recovery in a loving medical foster home. Sadly, going back to the shelter left her anxious and stressed. Thankfully, her amazing foster family welcomed her back, and she’s now thriving.
At 56 pounds, Ivory is the perfect medium-large size — strong enough for adventures, yet the ultimate snuggle buddy. She’s doing great with house and crate training, and loves having structure and routine.
Ivory is a medium-energy girl who enjoys hikes, long walks, and car rides, but she’s just as happy rolling in the grass or cuddling on the couch. Her joy is infectious — she’s always smiling, and her photos could melt even the coldest hearts.
We’re still learning her quirks. She can be a bit cautious with new people or sudden changes, but warms up quickly with gentle handling. She’s affectionate, goofy, and wants nothing more than to love and be loved.
Ivory enjoys other dogs, especially those her size or larger who match her respectful, playful energy. Because of her strength and sensitivity, she’d do best in a home with big-dog or pittie experience — someone who can offer consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.
Ivory is smart, eager to please, food-motivated, and a fast learner. She just needs someone willing to guide her with love and celebrate her progress.

Our dogs are in foster homes all over the Bay Area and all adopters are required to travel to the foster home to meet. We do not have a facility. No meet and greet can happen until application is completed.

Every dog in our care receives comprehensive veterinary care, including:
• Spay/Neuter surgery
• Microchipping
• DHPP vaccination
• Flea treatment and deworming
• Rabies vaccination
• Any additional vet care as needed
The adoption fee for this dog is $75, serving as a non-refundable donation to help cover vetting, transport, and care costs. Adoption fees may vary based on specific dog and needs.

Underdog Animal Rescue, our name pretty much sums us up. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit, volunteer operated nonprofit group dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned dogs from high kill and overcrowded shelters all over the state of California since 2014. We are an all-breed, size and age rescue, meaning we save many of the hardest to place, overbred such as pit bulls and chihuahuas. Our foster-based group lives and operates anywhere from Sacramento to Monterey. We literally give them another chance at life. We have saved over 3000 dogs since starting and we only plan to continue to grow.
When we rescue an animal, we place them in a foster home where they can decompress, learn to be a pet, socialized, spay/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions which would otherwise limit their chances of adoption. We then actively network our dogs to find them the perfect forever loving home. Rescue is undoubtedly hard and trying work, but it is entirely worth it to see the life of a dog saved. As a rescue, we believe it is our duty to save the dogs that really need our help; the dogs that need a little TLC, a little medical care, or just someone to believe in them again. Therefore, we save the dogs that are on their last days at the shelter or haven't even been given a chance to be adopted by the public. As much as we love those sweet puppy eyes, we think more of saving their mommy’s and daddy’s that have been shoved to the back of the shelter awaiting their fate.
