Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Binder, an 8-year-old, 44 lb sweetheart with a big personality and the cutest sugar face you’ll ever see. This quirky, sassy boy is as sweet as they come and is sure to bring joy and laughter into your life.
Binder is easy to get out of the kennel (once he’s done talking to his neighbors) and heads outside ready for adventure. He may start out with some excited pulling on leash, but he quickly settles into a mild pace and eventually walks loosely once he’s had a chance to stretch his legs. He also goes potty right away when he gets outside, which makes things easy.
This fun-loving boy enjoys car rides—he hops right in on his own, loves looking out the window, and settles down nicely after a bit of initial excitement. On his Dog’s Day Out, he had the cutest zoomies at a Sniffspot, enjoyed toys and treats, showed off “sit” (when he felt like it), and even dipped into the pool. He wasn’t sure about the water at first but gave it a go! Binder also showed he’s excellent for a bath, making him a very manageable pup all around.
Binder has a big personality and isn’t afraid to use his voice—whether it’s “talking” to you about what he wants, grumbling at other dogs, or just letting you know what’s on his mind. Around other dogs, he can be a bit uncertain—sometimes curious with a wagging tail, other times giving a few grumbles or barks—but he redirects easily with reassurance from his person. People, however, are always greeted with a wiggly body and lots of affection.
This sweet, vocal, and affectionate boy is medium energy, full of character, and only grows more loving as the day goes on—he’ll even shower you with face kisses once he’s comfortable. Binder is a charming senior who still has plenty of pep in his step and plenty of love to give.
As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.
To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
