My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Desiree (lostangelsanimalrescue04@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.

This is Cocoa a stunning 2 - 3 year old liver colored female GSD that is seeking her new person.  She found herself in a shelter and was extremely thin when she came in to rescue.

She spend 10 days boarding at a veterinary hospital due to us not having an available foster.  She also completed a board and train program.  Once she was placed with her foster it was very apparent that there was an underlying health issue that had caused her extreme weight loss and was soon diagnosed as an EPI dog.

Good news is it's easily managed with an enzyme powder sprinkled on each meal.  She has already gone from 50.8 lbs to 80 lbs in just 5 weeks.

Cocoa is very intelligent and eager to please. She would do best with an experienced handler, no kids and an only pet.  She can be selective of people and seems to do best with females.

Her training with Kyser K9 is life long and a new owner will be able to work with them and have access to training sessions.

For more information, please email lostangelsanimalrescue04@yahoo.com or submit an online application at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org to pursue an adoption.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is an important first step in our adoption process. These can be submitted online at our website: www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org.

Meeting the dog you are interested in, asking questions and talking with the foster parent(s) about their foster pup is the next step.

The foster parent will do a thorough check of your completed application (especially vet references) and possibly do a home visit with their foster dog before making a decision on their placement. (This is not 'first come, first served'. We only complete adoptions to homes that offer what is best & needed for our foster dogs; ie. a fenced yard, someone home longer hours with the dog, etc )

Go meet their pets

A meet n' greet can be arranged upon a pre-approved application.

More about this rescue

We are a non profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted dogs. We take our pets from kill shelters, owners who can longer care for them, and strays. They are completely vetted and then fostered in our homes until the perfect family can be found for them.
