Meet Staples!

Staples is a total sweetheart with a fun, easygoing personality. He’s incredibly playful and loves spending time with people. Whether it`s lounging around the house or joining in on the action, Staples is happiest when he`s part of the family.

He gets along wonderfully with other animals, especially cats. They’re truly his favorite companions. Staples is also great with kids and enjoys all the attention and affection they give him.

He is still learning the basics of potty training, but he`s making steady progress. His foster takes him outside about ten minutes after mealtime, and he`s starting to understand the routine.

Staples loves going for walks, chasing after toys, and relaxing in his comfy dog bed. Treats are a big motivator for him, and he is always excited for a snack or some praise.

If you are looking for a loving, playful dog who gets along with just about everyone, Staples could be the perfect match for you.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Monday: closed to the public
Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
