Dora is the perfect mix of fun and affection. Whether she’s playing with her furry friends or snuggling up for some love, she’s always bringing smiles. To add, she's graduated our PAWs to Prison training program. Here is what her trainers had to say about her: Please stop and honestly consider adopting Dora! This is one of the most amazing little dogs I've ever worked with. However, not necessarily in ways you would think. Yes, she's very smart, the kind that could come with warnings. Yes, she's eager to please, but not like a working dog. What she has is an incredible transformation story, and the biggest doggy heart full of love I've seen from a rescue. Personally, I'm in love with her and wish she could be mine. Her prance and smile make everyone who sees it happy. That is the magic of Miss Dora. Dora's behaviors and fluency for them are: Sit: ≥ 90% Down: ≥ 90% Stay: ≥ 95% Come: ≥ 90% Wait: ≥ 100% in kennel, 70% at doors, 90% in heel: ≥ 85% Heel me: ≥ 95% Shake: ≥ 80% Crawl: ≥ 70% Roll over: ≥ 50% Get it: ≥ 60% Bring it: ≥ 60% Give: ≥ 85% Leave it: ≥ 70% Drop it: ≥ 65% Up (2 paws on) ≥ 85% On (4 paws on) ≥ 85% Off (4 paws on ground) ≥ 85% Snake (jump into my arms) ≥ 35% Hug (2 paws over my forearm back to my chest): 85% Comfort my crying: ≥ 75% Touch: ≥ 85% Dora also walks like a service dog for me, though she'll hunt if you let her. None of the behaviors though can express how much joy she brings just being the loving happy affectionate little girl she is. My observation about her past abuse is it was probably by a little girl. She doesn't like grooming, bathing, or dress up. She also shows some fear around women. So for families she's dog friendly and good with almost everything, just do introductions for girls and women before committing.
