Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Katara aka Kat. Kat is about 2-3 years old and a German shepherd dog.She has had a rough start to her life but things are looking great after she came into rescue. Kat was found in a crate in tall grass with a puppy. It is unknown if the puppy was hers. There was not food and only black water for them to drink. Once in rescue, she turned out to be a sweet dog who is extremely attached to people. Kat was sick after her spay and then treated for parvo. She is shy around new people and dogs. Once established in her foster home with Rover Rescue her true personality came out. Kat loves all people and prefers to be in her human's arms. She has gotten along with all the dogs in the house, but they are all about her size. It is not sure how she will do with small dogs or cats. Kat is housebroken if kept to a schedule and like all GSD she will find her own fun if she is not exercised enough. When home alone, Kat gets run of the house except the kitchen because she loves to counter surf. She is food motivated and has learned quickly. An active family would be the best home for her. GSD experience is not a must but would be preferred. Kat has been completely treated for parvo, has been spayed, up-to-date on immunizations and is microchipped. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275.
