My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pearl – a gentle, medium-sized beauty weighing in at 45 pounds and three years old. Pearl loves the simple pleasures in life: exploring the outdoors and enjoying long, cozy naps. While she might not be a social butterfly right away, give her a little time and patience and you’ll discover a loyal, loving companion who will steal your heart.

Pearl is dog-friendly, house-trained, and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to any home. She’s also a dream on the leash, making walks together a breeze. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady friend to share life’s adventures (and lazy days) with, Pearl is your girl!Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). Please email info@bigpawsoftheozarks.org if you have specific questions about an available dog.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is thorough in order to ensure dogs go to the best possible home. We try and make it as streamlined as possible, and are often able to set up meet and greets with approved applications within 2-4 days. We often get multiple applications for each dog, and choose applicants based off the best possible fit for each dog.

More about this rescue

Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We aim to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in our local community. We specialize in large breed dogs (over 40 pounds) but do get the occasional small paw in rescue too! We work closely with shelters and other rescues in our community to target and save dogs who are at risk of euthanasia or have found themselves falling between the cracks of our animal rescue community.
