My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All Rufus wants is wants is a warm, quiet place to rest and someone to love him through his final chapter. Diagnosed with a lung tumor, his time may be limited, but his spirit is full of life and love.

Rufus may have a salt-and-pepper snout that gives him a wise, silver-fox look, but he’s still got the heart of a pup...one that beats for food, comfort, and gentle companionship.

He’s looking for a peaceful home where he can be the only animal - free to soak up all the love, treats, and belly rubs without having to share. After all he’s been through, Rufus deserves to be spoiled and cherished in these golden days.

He’s not up for big adventures or long walks, but give him a cozy spot by your side and he’ll reward you with soulful gazes, quiet loyalty, and a love that asks for nothing more than to simply be with you.

If you have room in your heart and home for a gentle senior who just wants to be loved, Rufus is ready. Visit him Tues - Sun from 12 - 6pm!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is easy! No home visits, no reference checks. We have many dogs and cats available for adoption.
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip & registration, basic vaccines, rabies vaccine (4 months and older), age-appropriate blood testing (6 months and older), flea/tick/heartworm treatments, and deworming.
As a non-profit organization, our adoption fees help us to offset some of these costs.

Note - you must be 18 years or older to adopt.
