My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maggie!
This gorgeous husky girl is under 2 years old and already stealing hearts with her sweet face and playful spirit. Maggie is full of love, energy, and curiosity—always ready for a game, a walk, or a good cuddle after some fun.

She’s dog friendly and absolutely adores kids, making her a wonderful fit for a family looking for an affectionate and active companion. Maggie is house trained and currently working on her crate training, showing just how smart and eager to learn she is.

True to her husky nature, Maggie loves to chase squirrels and other wildlife, so a secure yard and no cats are best for her. With her intelligence, loving personality, and joyful energy, Maggie is sure to bring warmth, laughter, and adventure to her forever home.

More about this rescue

Mission: To rescue, rehabilitate, and find qualified loving homes for neglected, abused, and unwanted Huskies throughout Texas. To educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the special qualities of the Siberian Husky Breed.

History: Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. was created in May 2009 as a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers and does not have a paid staff or a shelter. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc relies solely on volunteer foster families to take huskies into their homes until permanent, qualified, and loving homes can be found. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is a responsible animal adoption agency and requires that all dogs over 6 months are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We ensure that none of our dogs will ever contribute to the overpopulation of dogs in our community. The work of Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is supported by tax-deductible contributions by individuals, corporations, and grants.
