Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Found around the 4th of July with bloody paws, Happys journey is a mystery, but one thing is clear: this brave girl has traveled far and carries the love she once knew in every step. A gentle soul who startles at loud noises, Happy is a peaceful companion to everyone she meets-humans, dogs, and cats alike.

Clever and curious, shes a master puzzle-solver and a true clever cookie. Despite living indoors, Happy has never destroyed a thing -other than her stuffies- or had an accident in the house-shes the perfect mix of calm and playful. Movie nights are blissfully chill, and when shes engaged, her zoomies are pure joy. She reads the room beautifully, always knowing the right way to be.

Though her past holds unknown trials, its clear she was loved. Now, Happy is ready to return that love tenfold. Shes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and waiting for the family who will cherish her as much as she deserves. Email EPAS@elpasotexas.gov to meet her!

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

Meet the Pet
We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.
3.
Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.
Additional adoption info
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
