King is a sweet 6-year-old boy who was adopted as a puppy but sadly found his way back to the shelter through no fault of his own, and now he’s hoping for a second chance at the forever home he deserves. He is a gentle, affectionate dog who loves attention and thrives on being close to his people—snuggles and love are his favorite things in the world. Walks are also high on his list, and he’s wonderful on leash, making him a great companion for anyone who enjoys strolls or light adventures. King adores toys, especially anything with a squeak, and will happily keep himself entertained while showing off his playful side. Though he does need to lose a little bit of weight, he’s motivated and eager to stay active, which makes daily walks and playtime a perfect fit for him. He enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can be a little scared of cats, and he has just a touch of anxiety that melts away when he feels safe and loved. King is wonderful with kids and welcomes everyone he meets with his gentle nature and warm personality. A very smart boy, he just wants to belong again, to have a family who will give him the security, consistency, and love he’s been missing. If the interview goes well we will check any landlord or military housing before sending the pet home. Once confirmed the pet is allowed we will send the pet home.
