My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stevie is a young female German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie.

Meet Stevie! Born November 25, 2024, Stevie is a sweet and gentle German Shepherd/Border Collie mix with a heart as big as her soft brown eyes. She can be a little shy at first, but a kind word, a gentle touch, or a tasty treat will have her tail wagging in no time. Once she feels comfortable, Stevie loves nothing more than romping around the yard with her foster fur-siblings. She has excellent leash manners, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, and is completely potty trained. In true Shepherd/Collie fashion, she’s incredibly smart—picking up basic obedience with impressive speed and always eager to learn more. Whether you’re looking for a hiking partner, a backyard playmate, or a snuggle buddy after a day of fun, Stevie is ready to join you for it all. If you would like to adopt, please visit our website

More about this rescue

We hope to ease the problem of population overflow occurring in many of our shelters today. WGSR educates the individual on the importance of sterilizing the pet and providing superior care.

WGSR is composed of a network of foster families and volunteers. We are always in need of more foster care providers with the time and commitment necessary to care for these animals in transition. We are also in need of volunteers who can shuttle dogs from shelters and other sites to our foster homes.
