The shelter named this sweet tabby girl, Gentle, due to her calm and sweet demeanor to everyone she meets. As soon as one enters Gentle`s foster room, she will immediately purr loudly.....and this is before one even pets her! She would make a great fur companion for anyone looking for an easy going kitty. She is looking for a quiet and laid back home.

She has observed to respond well to other friendly cats in her foster home. Gentle uses the litter box like a champ and loves to play with her string toys. Contact her foster parent to meet this lovely lady!

The Adoption Center is open M,T,Th,Fr from 12-7pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12-5pm. The Shelter is closed to the public on Wednesdays.

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), proudly operated by the Montgomery County Office of Animal Services, provides high-standard sheltering and care to the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County and ensures the safety and welfare of the county’s citizens.

The Center’s doors are open to all animals in need from: dogs and cats to farm animals, wildlife, and exotics. Trained staff provide animals with daily care, mental and physical enrichment, health and wellness checks, and more. Through adoptions, spay and neuter assistance, vaccination clinics, education and outreach, the Center serves as a critical community resource to promote and advocate for responsible pet care. With community support and partnerships with other animal-welfare groups, our Foster, Rescue and Volunteer programs enhance and save the lives of even more homeless animals.
