Hi, my name is Raya. I am over 4 years old, and I was at our big shelter a long while before APA got me out. I am now headed to the PAWS prison-training program where I will learn obedience and other skills to be an even better dog than I am now! I entered the program on 8/28/2025.

More about this shelter

We are a progressive animal welfare group in Dona Ana County. We run an adoption center, the local pet food bank, a prison dog training program, and a thrift store. We rescue most of our animals from the municipal shelter and then ready them for adoption.
