My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woodrow came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control, and from the very beginning, he has been nothing short of a joy. He was a proud member of the youth program in Chicago, spreading smiles to everyone he met, and it is easy to see why. His energy is contagious, his heart is open, and his zoomies are truly award-worthy.

Woodrow has been making friends of every kind. Dogs, people, even our donkeys. He greets them all with the same enthusiasm. Along the way, we also learned he is the perfect travel buddy, happily making the long trip from Chicago to our farm in New York.

Woodrow is a dog who reminds you to laugh, to play, and to appreciate the little things. He is ready to share that joy with someone who will see just how special he is.

More about this rescue

Animal Farm Foundation gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Located in Dutchess County NY, AFF has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Animal Farm Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has been rescuing and re-homing animals, as well as making grants to other humane organizations, since the mid-1980's.

We currently dedicate our resources to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs. Whether the dog is called a "pit bull" because of a documented pedigree, or merely on the basis of physical appearance, recognizing that these dogs are individuals for whom we are responsible is an integral step toward a compassionate future for all dogs.
