My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fin, a 2-year-old, 63-pound Lab mix with the sunniest spirit and a tail that seems to operate on pure joy. He’s the epitome of a happy-go-lucky dog: playful, loving, and always hoping you’ll notice that he’s carrying two toys instead of one. Plush toys are his prized treasures, and he'll happily parade them around like a one-dog marching band.

Fin is house trained, crate trained, and sleeps soundly in his crate overnight. He’s smart, food-motivated, and already knows how to sit. He’ll even bark to politely alert you when it’s truly time for a potty break. On leash, he walks well, though he may pull a bit when excitement sparks.

This friendly, outgoing boy enjoys all kinds of activity. He’ll romp around the house, zoom through the yard, play fetch, chew on toys, wrestle with dog friends, or go for a car ride with a grin that could power a small village. He gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, and he’s equally delighted to meet humans. With children, he starts off enthusiastic but settles into a gentler, more cautious sweetness.

Fin is loving, loyal, and wants to be close to his people. He’d thrive with a busy family, especially one with another playful dog to keep him company. A fenced yard isn’t required but would be a lovely bonus for this energetic fellow.

If you're looking for a bright, affectionate companion who brings both fun and heart wherever he goes, Fin is ready to shine for you. His adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
