Italia is a stunning paint mare with such a big personality and an even bigger heart! She has progressed so far here at Horse Plus and we can confidently say that she will make someone a great companion! She has a gentle, and curious spirit. In the round pen she is attentive and willing. Considering she was rescued from the slaughter pipeline, she was very malnourished when she came in. She has gained so much healthy weight since being here at the shelter. She was officially ready for the saddle. Under saddle, she is calm and willing to listen. She is a little green (hasn't been worked/ridden in a while) so our trainer is slowly introducing it to her again. She unexpectedly had an injury one day in the barn where she cut her face on metal. Dr.Lydia was able to suture it, but it put a halt as far as riding just to insure that she had healed completely. She is now all healed and looking for her forever home. Submit an application today!
