My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sasha! Sasha is a stunning Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees mix, born around November 17, 2024, with a gorgeous thick white coat and soulful eyes that instantly draw you in. At around 80lbs and fully-grown, she’s a strong, joyful, and playful girl who is full of life and ready to bring her energy and heart to the right home. Sasha thrives when she has structure, mental stimulation, and daily exercise. She loves her daily walks of 2–3 miles and would be happiest with a confident owner familiar with Husky and Great Pyrenees breeds who can provide routine, positive training, and opportunities to challenge her mind and body. She’s a smart girl who enjoys learning and showing off what she knows. This playful powerhouse loves to rough-and-tumble and would enjoy having another medium-to-large dog to keep up with her style of play—but she’ll also happily find her own fun if she’s kept engaged. She would do best in a home with older children who can respect her size and energy. Sasha will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs and enjoy time outdoors. Sasha is house and crate trained, friendly with dogs that match her play style, and thrives with an active lifestyle that matches her spirited personality. She’s looking for a home where she can continue to shine, play, and grow into the amazing dog she is—someone who can provide guidance, enrichment, and plenty of love. Sasha is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you think Sasha could be the perfect addition to your family, contact adopt@carolinapaws.com.

More about this rescue

Carolina P.A.W.S. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization comprised of a network of compassionate Carolinians, all of whom are volunteers. We are devoted to helping abandoned and abused cats and dogs throughout the greater Charlotte area find loving homes. CPAWS does not have a facility and relies entirely on volunteer foster parents to care for an animal until we are able to find a pet their forever home. Our founding members have been collectively involved in animal rescue for over 20 years.

Carolina P.A.W.S. volunteers can be found "in the trenches," rescuing animals at high risk- those starving on the streets, languishing in shelters, and suffering in abusive situations. Each animal has a different past but our promise to them all is the same…a second chance. We provide them with medical attention, rehabilitate them physically and emotionally, and care for them in foster homes until they can be placed in loving permanent homes.

Along the way, we prepare them to become wonderful companions by taking the time to socialize them and patiently teaching them to trust. We also spay/neuter each one, provide all inoculations, and ensure that they are in perfect health before being made available for adoption.
