Kydo is a handsome dark brown and white lab mix pup whose estimated DOB is 11/12/2024 and on 7/22/2025 he weighed in at 41 pounds. Kydo was found as a baby under an abandoned house with his brother Bailey (also available for adoption) and has not had much human interaction before coming to our shelter. This has resulted in him being quite terrified of the world and people around him. You may need to pay Kydo multiple visits to give him time to warm up to you before taking him home. Once he warms up, he is sweet and enjoys human affection. We are working on his socialization, and the best thing for Kydo would be a forever home full of gentle love and a lot of patience. He has played well with other dogs here at the shelter, and we always recommend bringing your dog(s) up for a proper dog-meet before adopting a new family member. Due to his shyness, only adopters with an approved application can meet Kydo, so submit your online today!
Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

More about this shelter
The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.
The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.
The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
