This helps Carolina Coonhound Rescue with pet care costs.
Honey came to us with multiple medical needs and has turned out to be such a sweetheart with a goofy personality! She started at 100 lbs. and is now at her ideal weight of 75 lbs. Looking good girl!
Honey exudes love and is pure sunshine. She insists that she is lap sized and will try to sneak onto yours. She has recently discovered the couch and enjoys a cozy blanket while she cuddles. She is great with other dogs and lives with 3 cats in her foster home. While she needed a slow introduction due to her extreme enthusiasm, she adores them now. And she’s great with kiddos too!
This sweet girl has faced a number of medical hurdles and she still has a ways to go. We're working through some allergies, hoping a special diet will do the trick. And she had a cherry eye repair done that unfortunately did not take, and will need to be redone.
**This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment.
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application. We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter. If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes.
Please understand that we are an all volunteer group and we have jobs outside of this organization. We do our best to provide quick responses but occasionally they are a little slower. If you do not receive a response in 48 hours, please resend to make sure it's received.
