My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Locust!

Locust is a 5.5 year old, 63-pound terrier mix with a heart as big as his smile. One of 15 dogs rescued after their owner was hospitalized, Locust made an unforgettable first impression—he was the first to greet us with a wagging tail and boundless enthusiasm.

This friendly gentleman adores people and gets along well with other dogs. He loves going for walks, exploring new sights and smells, and is always eager to learn with just a little guidance.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with joy, Locust is ready to be your new best friend!

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
