My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maisie is an absolute sweetheart who’s full of love and personality! She has plenty of playful energy and would be thrilled to run, play, and explore with you, but she’s just as happy to settle down for a cozy nap when it’s time to relax.

She can be a little picky about her doggy friends, but with people she’s all heart. (Maisie will literally melt right into your arms when she’s getting pets) She knows her “sit,” loves learning, and is still working on her leash manners (she just gets so excited to go on adventures!).

Maisie may have some environmental allergies and is a little nervous around loud noises, but she’s brave, loving, and eager to please. She even sits like a pro for bath time, even if it’s not her favorite activity.

This sweet girl is ready to bring endless joy, love, and fun to her forever home!

New Hope Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization servicing Volusia County Florida since 1955.
Our policy is no-kill. We will NOT euthanize an animal to make room or to reduce pet overpopulation. “adoptable” means an animal is healthy and well-adjusted, not ill or injured, and can be safely made available to the public for adoption. We reserve the right to refuse admission due to space availability, or if the animal is dangerous, in poor health, or otherwise deemed un-adoptable.
